
1/13/2026—The Hardinsburg City Council approved an agreement with the Breckinridge County Industrial Authority at their regular meeting Tuesday evening.
The agreement allows the completion of an infrastructure project at the Hardinsburg Industrial Park, including improvements and repairs to a large draining tile. The project will be funded with unutilized grant funds. If grant funds are exhausted, the Industrial Authority will reimburse the city for all costs up to $175,000.
Veolia Project Manager Brett Mingus said there was a bacteria build-up in Well #3 at the Water Plant. The cost to clean the well is $28,700.
The Council approved a motion to have Mayor Wayne Macy, Councilman Jerry Dubree, and Mingus meet with Jerry Martin and come up with a plan to repair potholes on Old Highway 60.
The Police Department received 185 calls for service in December. They worked 3 thefts and made 2 felony and 5 misdemeanor arrests. They issued 3 city citations and 9 other citations. They worked one injury and five non-injury accidents. All officers passed low-light firearms qualification. Officers have completed taser recertification and ballistic shield training. Chief Terry Laslie and Assistant Chief Adam Lucas attended FAA training at the Hardinsburg Airport.
The Fire Department made 32 runs in December. They had a total of 452 runs in 2025. The annual Awards Banquet is scheduled for January 24.
The Council entered executive session to discuss personnel but took no action.
