Ohio County Officials Identify Victim, Cause Of Fatal Housefire

CENTERTOWN (01/12/26) — Authorities in Ohio County have identified the victim of a fatal house fire from Sunday in Centertown. The Sheriff’s Office identified the victim as Nathan Woolen of Centertown. It’s believed Woolen died of carbon monoxide poisoning when a heat source inside the residence malfunctioned. Authorities believe a spark then triggered the fire which ignited the house along Highway 69.
