FRANKFORT (01/10/26) — A high-speed chase along Interstates 75 and 64 ended with the death of the driver of the fleeing vehicle. Berea Police attempted to stop a vehicle matching a description of one connected to a homicide case in Georgia along I-75 Saturday morning. A pursuit with speeds of over 100 miles an hour continued into Fayette County onto I-64, then going into Franklin County, where the fleeing vehicle went out of control and struck a commercial vehicle near the 50 mile marker. The driver of the commercial vehicle was not hurt, but the driver of the fleeing vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. He was later identified as 30-year-0ld Ryan Ebler of Martinsville, Indiana. The incident remains under investigation.
