Breckinridge County Grand Jury

1/11/2026—The Breckinridge County Grand Jury met Friday, January 9, and returned ten indictments against nine individuals.

 

Ronald E. Shelton, 55, Irvington was indicted for 1st degree possession of a controlled substance(meth), 1st offense.

 

Ernie L. Dean III, 64, Harned, was indicted for 1st degree possession of a controlled substance(meth), 1st offense; 1st degree promoting of contraband; and operating a motor vehicle with an expired license.

 

Michael H. Crowder, 35, Custer, was indicted on two counts of 1st degree wanton endangerment and 1st degree criminal mischief.

 

Christopher K. Logsdon, 52, Falls of Rough, was indicted for 1st degree fleeing/evading police; theft by unlawful taking of a firearm; two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; tampering with physical evidence; two counts of discharge of a firearm across a public road; illegal take/pursue of deer/wild turkey; criminal littering; and defacing a firearm.

 

Carol A. Ford, 55, Garfield, was indicted on three counts of theft by unlawful taking/disposition of property valued between $1,000 and $10,000 and six counts of 3rd degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.

 

Christopher D. Cundiff, 45, Hardinsburg was indicted for receiving stolen property valued between $1,000 and $10,000.  In another case, he was indicted for kidnapping/adult; 2nd degree assault/domestic violence; and 3rd degree terroristic threatening.

 

Bryan K. Mitcham, 56, Irvington, was indicted for 1st degree possession of a controlled substance(meth), 2nd offense and tampering with physical evidence.

 

January E. Tyson, 44, Stephensburg, was indicted for 1st degree criminal possession of a controlled substance(meth), 3rd or greater offense and prescription controlled substance not in proper container, 1st offense.

 

Morris D. Matthews, 46, Beattyville, was indicted for kidnapping/adult; 3rd degree terroristic threatening; 4th degree assault/domestic violence; and menacing.
