McDANIELS (01/02/26) — Fire departments from Breckinridge and Grayson Counties were called to a report of brush fire in the McDaniels area early Friday morning. Units from McDaniels, Custer, Harned, Hardinsburg, and Falls of Rough Fire Departments were called to Critchelow Paradise Lane just before 5 Friday morning, where arriving units reported a large log pile actively burning, with crews working to keep the fire spreading to adjacent areas. No injuries have been reported and a cause remains under investigation. The Kentucky Division of Forestry, Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Office and Breckinridge County Emergency Management also responded to the scene.
