Heavrin Named President/CEO For Meade County RECC

BRANDENBURG (12/17/25) — Kyle Heavrin will serve as the next president and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Meade County Rural Electric Cooperative Corporation (Meade County RECC) , effective March 2, 2026.

He will replace Martin W. Littrel who has served as president and CEO since 2015 and is departing to lead Blue Grass Energy located in Nicholasville.

Heavrin is a  a native of Breckinridge County and a former employee at Meade County RECC from 2006 until 2013, starting as an operations intern before advancing into other roles. He served in management positions with the Owensboro-based Kenergy Corporation. He currently serves  as Vice President of Member Service at South Central Power Company, Ohio’s largest electric cooperative, providing power to over 132,000 meters.

Heavrin earned a B.A. at the University of Kentucky and an MBA from Brescia University. He is a graduate of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association’s Management Internship Program (MIP) and is a Certified Key Account Executive (CKAE).

Meade County RECC is a member-owned electric cooperative providing power to over 31 ,000 meters in parts of Meade, Breckinridge, Grayson, Ohio, Hardin, and Hancock counties. Headquartered in Brandenburg, the cooperative was founded in 1937 and is committed to providing affordable and reliable electric service to the homes, farms and businesses in the communities it serves.
