FRANKFORT (12/16/25) — The case of an Indiana man accused of fatally shooting a Kentucky State University student and wounding another is headed to a grand jury in Frankfort. 48-year-old Jacob Bard of Evansville is charged with murdering 19-year-old Da’Jon Fox of Indianapolis during the incident last week. A police detective testified Bard was on campus to help move his son off-campus after a dispute with other students when the shooting occurred. Prosecutors argued Bard used deadly force when it was needed while his attorney argued Bard acted in self-defense. Bard is being held on a one-million dollar cash bond.
