LOUISA (11/29/25) — Kentucky State Police are investigating a trooper-involved shooting that occurred Saturday night in Lawrence County. Troopers trying to locate a female suspect listed on assault charge warrants were confronted by 69-year-old Timothy Keeton from an unrelated neighboring residence. Keeton told the troopers to turn their lights off, or he would shoot them out. Troopers ordered Keeton to put the firearm down, but he raised the weapon in the direction of the troopers. Troopers then discharged their firearm, striking Keeton, who later died from his injuries.
