UNDATED (11/25/25) — One person was transported for treatment following an accident Tuesday morning in the 76-hundred block of Kentucky Highway 401. According to the Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Department, an eastbound vehicle driven by 23-year-old Teyja Newell of Leitchfield hydroplaned on the wet roads, and struck a culvert, causing the vehicle to overturn. The driver was transported by Breck Central EMS at Baptist Health Hardin for a cut to the head. The McDaniels, Custer and Harned Fire Departments all responded to the scene. Within a minute of that accident, units were called to the 87-hundred block of East Highway 86 on a report of a one-vehicle accident, however no injuries were reported there.
