FRANKFORT (11/13/25) — Governor Andy Beshear said Thursday his administration received word from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) that full SNAP benefits would shortly be on the way. This comes after Congress passed a spending bill that President Trump signed into law Wednesday night, ending the shutdown after 43 days. Beshear said SNAP benefits should be available by the end of the month at the latest, although he was hoping it could happen in just a few days. Around 600,000 Kentuckians receive SNAP benefits.
