CLOVERPORT (11/12/25) — A Hancock County man was injured following a one-vehicle accident around 2:45 Wednesday afternoon near Cloverport. According to the Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Department, a Dodge Charger was headed westbound on 60 at a high rate of speed when the vehicle veered across the road, hit a guardrail on the eastbound side, then veered across the road to hit an embankment and overturned. Law enforcement and others on scene freed the man from the vehicle. He was transported by Breck Central EMS to Owensboro Regional Health for treatment of his injuries. The accident remains under investigation. The Cloverport Police Department and Hardinsburg Fire Department also responded to the scene.
