Joseph Lawson Reports To Prison To Serve Sentence In Crystal Rogers Conviction

UNDATED (10/01/25) — Joseph Lawson arrived at an eastern Kentucky prison Wednesday to begin serving his 25-year sentence for his role in the disappearance and murder of Bardstown resident Crystal Rogers. A jury convicted Lawson of conspiracy to commit murder and tampering with physical evidence. He was sentenced to 20 years for conspiracy and five years for tampering with evidence. An appeal for a new trial was denied. Lawson’s attorneys have filed an appeal to the Kentucky Supreme Court. Rogers’ former boyfriend, Brooks Houck, was convicted of murder during the same trial and sentenced to life in prison.
