ELIZABETHTOWN (10/01/25) — Hardin County man is facing abuse charges after allegedly using information from a social media post that led to an infant hospitalized with injury. The Hardin County Sheriff’s Department was notified of a two-month old infant at Norton Children’s Hospital with injuries to the ribs. Speaking to detectives, the child’s father, 26-year-old Austin Webster of Cecilia, admitted to using the technique he saw on the internet to relieve gastrointestinal and bowel issues. Webster was arrested and charged with Criminal Abuse 2nd Degree, a Class D Felony. An investigation is on-going.
