OWENSBORO (09/09/25) — One of the victims of last week’s accident along the Owensboro Bypass has been identified. A car travelling along U.S. 60 last Thursday (09/04) went out of control, across the median, and crashed into a truck in the opposite lane. Both people in the car died. A passenger who died has been identified as 43-year-old Brian Deaton of Oldham County. Authorities are still trying to identify the driver that was killed. The driver of the truck, identified as Justin Phillips, was transported to a Louisville hospital with serious injuries.
