VINE GROVE (08/29/25) — The Kentucky Fire Marshal’s Office has ruled that a lightning strike caused the blaze that leveled a building used by the Vine Grove Fire Department. The fire at the building on Mill Street broke in the early morning hours of August 20th as storms moved over the area. Three trucks and equipment were lost in the fire, with damage estimated at one-point-five million dollars. No injuries were reported.
