BOWLING GREEN (08/27/25) — A Bowling Green man has been charged with murder following a hit-and-run from last weekend. 58-year-old Fred Hart of Bowling Green and 38-year-old Mario Harris were involved in a verbal altercation on Sunday. Detectives say Hart got into an SUV and backed out of the property on Brandywood Court onto Starlight Avenue. He stopped briefly, then accelerated forward, hitting Harris, who was pulled underneath the SUV and dragged into the yard. Detectives say Hart exited the vehicle to approach Harris, then left the scene with three others. Harris died later at a nearby hospital. Hart is charged with murder, operating under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident,
