BOWLING GREEN (08/24/25) — Two people have been arrested in connection to a deadly hit-and-run incident from the weekend in Bowling Green. 58-year-old Fred Hart is charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence, criminal mischief and leaving the scene of an accident/failure to render aid or assistance with death or serious physical injury. Police say he was behind the wheel of a vehicle when 34-year-old Savannah Caldwell reached over from the passenger side and pushed the gearshift into “drive,” causing the vehicle to move forward and hit the victim, who died later at a nearby hospital. Caldwell then drove from away the scene. Caldwell was taken into custody after the incident on charges of leaving the scene of an accident. Both were lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail Bowling Green Police said more charges could be possible.
