GUSTON (08/21/25) — An accident Thursday morning along U.S. 60 near the Breckinridge-Meade County line left one person dead and two others injured. Kentucky State Police said a semi truck was driving eastbound on US 60 near the Guston-Bewleyville Road when the semi crossed the center line and hit a Ford F-150. A passenger in the pickup truck, 80-year-old Jerry Ricketts of Shepherdsville, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi, 77-year-old Marshall Morgan and the operator of the pick-up, 74-year-old Glenda Ricketts of Shepherdsville were taken to University of Louisville Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The road was closed for much of the day for clean-up and investigation.
