8/21/2025–The Cloverport Board of Education approved tax rates for the 2025/26 school year at their regular meeting Thursday evening. The real property tax rate is 67.2 cents per $100 assessed valuation, and the motor vehicle tax rate is 56.9 cents per $100 assessed valuation.

In other business, the Board approved a revised classified staff salary schedule.

The Board approved entering into a memorandum of agreement with Elizabethtown Community and Technical College. Kentucky Virtual Academy students will be able to take dual credit courses through the college.

Scott Adcock was appointed to the Local Evaluation Appeals Panel.

Two Cloverport students were approved for a shortened school day.

The Board reviewed “Data Security and Breach Notification Best Practice Guide”.

In personnel matters, Stephen Poole was hired as Middle and High School Assistant Girls Basketball Coach. Selina Shultz was hired as Music Teacher.

The total enrollment at Cloverport is 245 students. (95 Elementary; 75 Middle School; and 75 High School.) Kentucky Virtual Academy Enrollment is:
K-5 712; Middle School 614; High School 919.
