OWENSBORO (08/18/25) — Authorities in Daviess County are investigating a pedestrian struck and killed along U.S. 431 early Monday morning. Emergency crews were called to the 84-hundred block near Burns Road just after midnight where the dead male pedestrian was observed lying off the roadway. Witnesses to the accident who had called 911 attempted life saving measures until emergency crews arrived. None of the occupants of the vehicle that struck the victim were injured. The name of the victim had not been released as of mid Monday morning. The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office said alcohol and controlled substances were not contributing factors.
