EARLINGTON (08/14/25) — A Hopkins County woman and her boyfriend have been arrested in connection to the death of a 10 month old baby. State Police were notified last week regarding the baby’s death in Earlington. Troopers say the Hopkins County Coroner pronounced the baby dead inside the caretakers’ residence. Through investigation and autopsy, it was determined foul play was the cause of death. The child’s mother and her boyfriend- 27-year-old Samantha Stagner and 29-year-old Dayton Mason- both of Earlington, were arrested Thursday on charges of first degree Manslaughter and lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center.
