Emergency crews were called to the Laurel Branch area of Rough River Lake around 9 pm Thursday night on a report of a boat that had struck the island. Crews from the McDaniels and Hardinsburg Fire Departments, Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Office, Kentucky Fish and Wildlife searched the area after a boat was seen towing another boat before their arrival at the scene. No injuries were reported.
