The Cloverport City Council unanimously approved an application for Sewer Overflow and Stormwater Reuse Municipal Grant during a special called meeting Monday (7/7) evening.
The grant will develop a plan to study the city’s terrain to fully understand the flow of stormwater. The findings of the grant study are expected to produce a formal planning document to assist the city to apply for additional funding for completion of design and construction of the project. The city is seeking $125,000 in funding from the Kentucky Division of Water to cover the estimated cost of study by Kentucky Engineering.
The grant is expected to be awarded in August. If the city awarded the funds, work could begin as soon as February 2026.
