Daviess County Man Arrested For Drug-Related Offenses After Squatting On Property

KNOTTSVILLE (06/30/25) — A Daviess County man was arrested Monday after authorities say he was caught squatting on someone else’s property. The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint about the man, who was living in a camper on the backside of a property on Highway 144 near Knottsville. While speaking to the man, later identified as 68-year-old Kenneth Johnson, they noticed drug paraphernalia inside the camper. Authorities say they found several baggies of meth, digital scales, several jars of marijuana, plates and pipes with drug residue, three handguns, and several long-guns during a search. They later found a baggie of meth on Johnson’s person. He was lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center on multiple charges.
