GEORGETOWN (06/10/25) — A central Kentucky man arrested in Florida just days after claiming a 167-million-dollar lottery jackpot has requested to serve the remainder of a Kentucky sentence on parole violations. James Farthing had requested a hearing before a Judge, but the case has been since removed from the docket. Farthing claimed the Kentucky Lottery prize in late April, but was arrested days later in Florida for allegedly hitting a police officer. That case is currently on-going. Farthing’s Kentucky sentence expires on August 27th.
