MIDDLESBORO (05/21/25) — Kentucky Fish and Wildlife officials said a black bear was found in a Bell County home last week after it fell through the ceiling. A game warden responding to the residence last Wednesday found the bear sitting on the stove in the kitchen. With help from a sheriff’s deputy, the bear was able to run out of the home through an open door. Officials later determined that the bear had climbed up a ladder outside and squeezed through an opening into the attic, where it then fell through the ceiling into the residence.
