Firefighters Called To Owensboro Restaurant Monday Night

OWENSBORO (05/26/25) — Firefighters were called to an Owensboro restaurant Monday evening on a report of a possible fire. Units were called to the Ole South Barbecue location along Highway 54 where flames and smoke were observed from a chimney over the pits. According to the Daviess County Fire Department, crews made their way to the roof and used sweeps and chains to knock burning debris loose from inside the chimney and ventilated smoke from inside the structure. No injuries were reported.
