ELIZABETHTOWN (05/23/25) — A man convicted for the 2023 murder of his wife in Hardin County has had an attempt to reduce his sentence denied. Jordan Henning was found guilty in March in the shooting death of his wife Ashley following a birthday party at their Rineyville home and was later sentenced to 20 years in prison. Henning and his attorney were back in Circuit Court last week, seeking a domestic violence exemption, claiming he was the victim of abuse from his wife. The judge denied the motion. The exemption, if approved, would have made Henning eligible for parole after serving 50-percent of the sentence. As it stands, Henning must serve 85-percent of the sentence before possibility of parole.
