FEMA Opens Disaster Recovery Office In Leitchfield

UNDATED (05/17/25) — The Federal Emergency Management Agency is opening a disaster recovery office in Leitchfield to help residents impacted by last month’s storms and flooding in the area. The center is located at 125 East White Oak Street in Leitchfield at the Fiscal Courthouse. FEMA representatives will be available to help residents understand available assistance programs, how to apply for assistance and connect survivors with resources for their recovery needs. The hours of operation will be from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays. The Leitchfield office opened after the White House expanded the number of counties included in the President’s disaster declaration.
