LOUISVILLE (05/06/25) — Kentucky Derby winner Sovereignty will skip the Preakness, ending chances for a Triple Crown bid. Trainer Bill Mott informed race officials at Pimlico in Baltimore that the colt will instead aim for the Belmont Stakes in June. The move marks the fourth time since 2018 that a Triple Crown bid has been voluntarily ended.
