Former Fort Knox Soldier Sentenced To 20 Years In Prison For Wife’s Murder

ELIZABETHTOWN (05/06/25) — A former Fort Knox soldier has been sentenced to 20 years in prison in connection to the shooting death of his wife at a Hardin County residence nearly two years ago.

A Hardin Circuit Court jury convicted Jordan Henning on manslaughter charges for shooting his wife, Ashley, as the couple was cleaning up following a birthday party at their Rineyville home in June of 2023. Both were active duty soldiers at the time.

Circuit Judge Larry Ashlock went along with the jury’s recommendation on sentencing.
