UNDATED (04/28/25) — The Army Corps of Engineers recently announced that some campsites at Rough River Lake will have later openings due to the recent flooding.
That list includes…
•Axtel Campground – Fully closed through at least May 15th
• Laurel Branch Campground- Closed Until Further Notice
• Loops C & D (Sites 30–62) – Closed through at least May 15th
All reservations affected by these closures will be automatically canceled and fully refunded by Recreation-dot-gov. Loops A and B, Sites 1-29 are expected to open this Thursday (05/01) as scheduled. The North Fork and Cave Creek Campgrounds are slated to open as scheduled May 15th, subject to water levels.
