HARDINSBURG (04/24/25) — Second District Congressman Brett Guthrie visited Breckinridge County on Wednesday, speaking with students of St. Romuald School, then sitting down with Lee Bramlett for an interview that aired Thursday morning….

The Bowling Green Republican addresses his role as Chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, which puts him on the front lines of working to expand the nation’s energy resources and attaining the Trump administration’s desire for “Energy Dominance”. He said the effort is picking up an unlikely ally- Silicon Valley, which despite it’s prior support for so-called “Green Energy” now says they need adequate power to have the U.S. at the front of technology, lest China takes the advantage.

The Congressman also refuted Democrat claims of cutting Medicaid, saying increasing the current 700-billion-dollar program to 900-billion to possibly over a trillion dollars is not a cut.

Guthrie also said he supported the White House stance on tariffs as the bargaining tool to bring other nations to the table for discussion on a more fair trade policy.
