HAWESVILLE (04/23/25(Emergency crews in Hancock County responded to a call of a man who fell from Jeffery’s Cliffs Wednesday afternoon. The victim reportedly fell about 30 feet. According to the Hawesville Fire Department, the subject had to be brought out by first responders using an “off road” style wheel chair for the first 1/4-1/2 mile then transported onto a UTV, then taken to a helicopter and airlifted from the scene. Officials say he had serious, but non life-threatening injuries.
