Irvington Apartment Fire Update: Starting Point Determined, Cause Remains Undetermined

IRVINGTON (04/24/25) — Additional information has been released regarding the April 9th fire that gutted an apartment building in Irvington. According to Irvington Fire Chief Jeremy Houghlin, the fire at 104 Landon Lane started in the far right stairwell of the building, but the State Fire Marshal’s Office lists the cause as undetermined. The fire gutted the right hand side of the building and left fire, smoke and water damage in the other half, impacting about 30 people. Houghlin told WXBC News that affected tenants who need a copy of the report can obtain it through City Hall during regular business hours.
