Breckinridge Circuit Court-Division 2

4/23/2025—Division 2 of Breckinridge Circuit Court with Judge Kenneth H. Goff II met Wednesday.

Jerrilee V. Povesis, 52, pleaded not guilty to receiving stolen property valued over $10,000; obscuring the identity of a machine over $10,000; and 1^st degree possession of a controlled substance(meth), 1^st offense.  A pre-trial conference was scheduled for June 18.

Julio M Ceballos, 53, pleaded not guilty to two counts of attempted murder of first responder/peace officer; two counts of attempted murder/domestic violence; being a convicted felon in possession of a handgun; being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm; and three counts of 2^nd degree cruelty to animals.  A pre-trial conference was scheduled for June 18.

Adam T. Basham, 48, pleaded not guilty to 1^st degree possession of a controlled substance(meth), 1^st offense.  A pre-trial conference was scheduled for June 18.

The Court deferred prosecution for two years for Jackie J. Dewitt, 45. Dewitt is charged with 1^st degree possession of an unspecified drug, 1^st offense; 1^st degree possession of a controlled substance(meth), 1^st offense; and contempt of court.  In another case, Dewitt pleaded guilty to 1^st degree possession of a controlled substance(meth), 1^st offense; tampering with physical evidence; and failure of non-owner to maintain required insurance, 1^st offense.  Sentencing was scheduled for May 21.

Britteny L. Hampton, 39, pleaded guilty to 1^st degree possession of a controlled substance(meth), 1^st offense.  Sentencing was scheduled for May 21.

Travis A. Rowland, 33, was entered in the pre-trial diversion program for 18 months, diverted for three years, for 1^st degree possession of a controlled substance(meth), 1^st offense.

Isaiah N. Burgin, 21, was granted diversion for three years, diverted for five years, for 2^nd degree strangulation.

James C. Waddell, 26, was sentenced to prison for five years for theft by unlawful taking of property valued between $10,000 and $1,000,000, and one year for 3^rd degree burglary.  The sentences will run concurrently for a total of five years.

Albert Armes, 55, pleaded guilty to theft by failure to make required disposition of property valued between $1,000 and $10,000; and two counts of theft by unlawful taking or disposition/all others.  In another case, Armes pleaded guilty to theft by unlawful taking of property valued between $10,000 and $1,000,000 and 3^rd degree burglary.  In another case, Armes pleaded guilty to 1^st degree possession of a controlled substance(meth), 1^st offense.  Sentencing was scheduled for May 21.

Robert T. Eldridge, 46, was sentenced to three years in prison, probated for five years, for flagrant non-support.

Sean Renfrow, 25, pleaded not guilty to 1^st degree possession of a controlled substance(meth), 1^st offense.  A pre-trial conference was scheduled for June 18.
