Governor Andy Beshear says the state will soon send the request for federal aid due to the latest round of flooding in Kentucky, which has led more than 70 counties to issue local disaster declarations. The governor said he met Wednesday with FEMA officials who are currently in Kentucky. The governor also reported a sixth death in the state from the flooding, a 66-year- old man from Carroll County.

UNDATED (04/10/25) — The National Weather Services reports that the Ohio River at the Cannelton Locks and Dam and at Tell City will crest today and tomorrow above flood stage before receding.
Rough River Lake and Rough River at Dundee are both continuing to recede after cresting above flood stage earlier in the week.
