
UNDATED (02/19/25) — Breckinridge County is waking up on Wednesday to more snowfall as the the latest storm to moved into the region dropped more snow, even as snowfall from Sunday’s event was melting away.
The snow began Tuesday evening and continued overnight, covering roadways and prompting schools to cancel classes for the day on Wednesday.
Caution is urged if driving while travel is discouraged.
Chances for flurries and snow showers will continue into Wednesday night with a Winter Weather Advisory to replace the Winter Storm Warning at late morning. Colder temperatures will set in with readings in the single digits likely by Thursday morning along with wind chill readings at or below zero. A “Cold Weather Advisory” is in effect for Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
