Here We Go Again: Winter Storm Warning Issued For Friday For More Snow

UNDATED (01/08/25) — Even as the region continues to dig out from last weekend’s winter storm, another blast of snow is forecast for the area on Friday.

A “Winter Storm Warning” is in effect for the entire 104.3, the River listening area for snow as a storm system moves in from the southwest.

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 6
  inches are expected.  Along the Kentucky and Tennessee border, 4
  to 6 inches with locally higher amounts are expected.

* WHERE...Portions of east central, north central, northwest, and
  south central Kentucky.

* WHEN...From 3 AM CST /4 AM EST/ Friday to 6 AM CST /7 AM EST/
  Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
  likely become slick and hazardous. The Friday afternoon commute
  will be negatively impacted.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

The snow comes as residents are still trying to rebound from last weekend’s snow, sleet and freezing rain. Breckinridge County schools were closed all week along with others. You find an updated last here.
