ELIZABETHTOWN (11/26/24) – The man accused of firing a gun at the Baptist Health Hardin ER is now facing additional charges. The Elizabethtown News-Enterprise reported 39-year-old George Lee, Jr. is now charged with possession of fentanyl, cocaine and heroin as well as handgun possession by a convicted felon. He was previously charged with kidnapping and wanton endangerment after bringing the weapon into the hospital on October 19th. An Elizabethtown Police Officer shot and wounded Lee, who was taken to Louisville for treatment, then lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center when released from care. An arraignment on the new charges is scheduled for December 10th.
