FRANKFORT (11/22/24) — The Kentucky Association of School Administrators announced Breckinridge County School Superintendent Dr. Nick Carter has been appointed to the governing board of the American Association of School Administrators.
Carter will represent KASA and contribute his expertise and vision to enhance educational leadership on a national level.
Carter served most recently served as President of KASA and was named recently by the organization as 2025 Superintendent of the Year.
“I am honored to represent KASA on the AASA governing board,” said Dr. Carter. “This opportunity allows me to collaborate with fellow educators across the nation to share best practices, advocate for necessary resources, and work towards a brighter future for all students. Together, we can ensure that every child has access to high-quality education and the support they need to succeed.”
Dr. Carter assumed the role when Union County Superintendent Patricia Sheffer stepped down earlier this year to retire.
