9/4/2024—Division 1 of Breckinridge Circuit Court with Judge Bruce Butler met Wednesday.
Bobby Partain, 41, pleaded not guilty to four counts of theft by unlawful taking of an auto valued between $10,000 and $1,000,000, and theft by deception/cold checks valued over $10,000. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for October 16.
Trevis D. McCarty, 25, pleaded not guilty to engaging in organized crime/criminal syndicate; receiving stolen property valued over $10,000; theft by unlawful taking of property valued between $10,000 and $1,000,000; and 1st degree criminal mischief. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for October 16.
William D. Phelps, 54, pleaded not guilty to 3rd degree assault/police/probation officer; resisting arrest; 1st degree disorderly conduct; and menacing. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for September 18.
Daniel E. Whitman, 34, pleaded not guilty to 1st degree trafficking in a controlled substance(meth), 1st offense/enhanced; convicted felon in possession of a handgun; and possession of marijuana/enhanced. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for November 6.
Stephon Brown, 19, pleaded not guilty to receiving stolen property/firearm and possession of marijuana. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for November 6.
Kayla D. Humm, 33, was sentenced to five years in prison for being a convicted felon in possession of a handgun and 1st degree possession of a controlled substance(meth), 1st offense. The sentences will run concurrently for a total of five years.
Edward D. Ditto, 51, was sentenced to two years in prison for 1st degree possession of a controlled substance(meth), 1st offense.
Jeremy Casey, 43, was sentenced to 18 months in prison for 1st degree possession of a controlled substance(meth), 1st offense; 18 months for 1st degree possession of an unspecified drug; and one year for theft by unlawful taking of an auto valued between $1,000 and $10,000. The sentences will run concurrently for a total of 18 months, probated for three years.
A motion by Tyler W. Corbin, 24, to reduce bond was denied.
A motion for shock probation by Taylor W. Goodman, 24, was taken under submission.
