UNDATED (09/03/24) – Units from four area fire departments were called out in response to a barn fire on Tuesday morning. Units from the Harned Department were called to a location in the 36-hundred block of Kentucky Highway 1401 just before 8 this morning. According to Assistant Chief Kenny Mattingly, a shed had burned to the ground by the time units arrived on scene, with the fire knocked down before reaching a wooded area nearby. The cause of the fire is unknown. Units from Custer, Hardinsburg and McDaniels called to assist. Firefighters were on scene for about two hours.
