MISSING CHILD UPDATE: Two More Arrested; Court Appearances For Three Others


UNDATED (06/09/24) – Two more people have been arrested as part of the investigation into a missing Ohio County toddler. State Police say 49-year-old Billie Smith was arrested on an outstanding warrant as they were searching at her residence for 8-month-old Miya Rudd. Smith is the grandmother of the missing child. While approaching the residence, 37-year-old Timothy Roach of Owensboro threw what was suspected to be Suboxone under a vehicle, He was charged with controlled substance possession and along with Smith were lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center.

Meanwhile, the three previously arrested in the case have court appearances scheduled for Monday. Parents Cage Rudd and Tesla Tucker along with grandfather Ricky Smith were arrested last week after troopers could not locate the child during a welfare check. Miya Rudd remains missing and anyone with information on whereabouts is urged to contact Kentucky State Police in Henderson.
