HARDINSBURG (04/13/24) – The Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Office has announced a “D.A.R.E.” officer for the county. Deputy Zach Critchlow has recently completed the necessary training to be a D.A.R.E officer. DARE is a drug abuse prevention education program intended to give school children skills to resist peer pressure to use tobacco, drugs, and alcohol. The program uses uniformed police officers to teach a formal curriculum to students in the school classroom.
