Window Open For Requesting Mail-In Absentee Ballot For May 21st Primary

UNDATED (04/10/23) — Kentucky voters may now request mail-in absentee ballots for the May 21st Primary Election, which features state and federal races on the ballot. The application process can be initiated HERE. Only those who are unable to vote in-person should apply for an absentee ballot. The deadline to request an absentee ballot is May 7th.

According to the Secretary of State’s Office, the drop-box for mail-in ballots in Breckinridge County is at the County Courthouse. Excused In-Person absentee voting will be available at the Courthouse May 8th-10th and the 13th through the 15th. “No Excuse” In-Person voting will take place at the Courthouse May 16th through the 18th from 8am to 4pm, with in-person voting on the 21st between 6am and 6pm.

Those voting in-person on the 21st are urged to bring identification with them to speed up the sign-in process.

In Breckinridge County, primaries for President, U.S. Representative (Democrat), 5th District State Senate (Republican) and 10th District State Representative (Republican) will be on the ballot.
