HARDINSBURG – The Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Office reminds residents the 2023 Property Tax deadline is on Monday, April 15. Beginning on Monday, April 8 the sheriff’s office will no longer accept personal checks during the final days of the tax collection in accordance to the state guidelines limiting payment types.
Payment methods may be made by cash, money order, credit or debit card and cashiers check. Residents can also make tax payments online by following the directions and search for your property tax by last name at breckinridgecountysheriff.net. Residents have until 4 PM on April 15 to make their payment.
Personal check payments will be allowed beginning in November when the 2024 property tax period begins.
