ELIZABETHTOWN (04/02/24) – A Grayson County man is facing multiple charges in Hardin County after attempting to evade a traffic stop Tuesday night and later wrecking his vehicle. The Elizabethtown News-Enterprise reported Thursday morning that police tried to stop a vehicle on North Dixie driven by 30-year-old Zachaery Hamilton of Leitchfield for going 81 in a 45 zone, but he refused to stop. Hamilton wrecked the vehicle moments later, crashing into a utility pole and front porch of a nearby home. Hamilton was treated for leg and facial injuries at Baptist Health Hardin and lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center. An arrest citation noted Hamilton admitted to using meth earlier in the day Tuesday.
