HARTFORD (04/01/24) – The Ohio County Sheriff’s Department announced Monday the use of body cameras by deputies. In a social media post, Sheriff Adam Wright said the purpose is to record enforcement, investigation and other encounters between deputies and the public Wright said the cameras will provide an objective record of these encounters, facilitate review of events by supervisors, increase accountability, and encourage lawful and respectful interactions between the public and officers.
