Man Arrested On Drug Charges Following Traffic Stop By Cloverport Police

CLOVERPORT (03/30/24) – A weekend traffic stop by Cloverport ended with the driver of the vehicle facing multiple charges. According to Police Chief Chris Woosley, Officer Joe Crawford made a traffic stop on Saturday, when he detected the smell of marijuana from the vehicle. Chief Woosley was called to the scene, where a search of the vehicle turned up a large amount of meth, marijuana, scales and other drug paraphernalia. 26-year-old James Cody Arnold was lodged in the Breckinridge County Detention Center on charges of possession of marijuana, meth and drug paraphernalia, trafficking marijuana, conspiracy to traffic meth and no tail lights. An investigation is on-going.
